Easy Cheeseburger Pie

This does not look very appetizing but it tasted good. I want to make it again and change a few things to the instructions. Next time instead of putting the cheese on the meat and then topping it with the bisquick mix, I would put the cheese on last and bake it for 5 minutes until it melts. This would allow the cheese not to burn. Also, I would use 2 pounds of ground meat instead of one. Otherwise, it was good. Definitely a kid friendly meal! I had to make two separate pies because I used dairy free cheese for mine.

Ingredients
  1. 1 pound ground beef (I used turkey)
  2. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  3. 2 eggs
  4. 1 cup milk (I used coconut milk)
  5. 1/2 cup Bisquick (I used GF)
  6. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  7. sea salt and cracked pepper to taste
  8. Coconut oil

Instructions
  1. In a medium sized pan, add the coconut oil and let it melt. Then add the ground meat, garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Drain the grease when browned.
  3. Place ground beef into a casserole dish.
  4. Add cheddar cheese on top of ground meat.
  5. In a bowl, add milk, eggs, and Bisquick and whisk mix well until lumps are gone.
  6. Pour liquid contents over ground beef and cheese.
  7. Bake for about 20 minutes until Bisquick is baked through.
