Crab Dip

This crab dip was very good. I had to make it 2 ways because mine was made dairy free. It is simple to substitute dairy free cream cheese and dairy free cheddar cheese, as long as you can find it in the grocery store.

Ingredients
  1. 8 ounces cream cheese or dairy-free cream cheese substitute, at room temperature
  2. ½ cup mayonnaise or vegan mayonnaise
  3. 1½ teaspoons gluten-free seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay)
  4. Juice of 1 lemon
  5. 16 ounces canned crab meat, rinsed and drained
  6. Shredded cheddar cheese
  7. Sea salt and black pepper

Instructions
  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, stir together the cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth.
  3. 3. Add the seafood seasoning and lemon juice and stir well.
  4. 4. Fold in the crab meat. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  5. 5. Put the dip in an oven-safe baking dish and sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
  6. 6. Bake until hot and the top is browned, about 15 minutes.
  7. 7. Serve warm with crackers or tortilla chips.
